The cookbook author, who was born in Sydney, Australia, has lived in London for the past decade. “We always end up spending Lunar New Year with my parents by chance,” she told me recently by phone. My dad has the fondest memories [from when he was young] of visiting relatives on Lunar New Year. Lumpia“When I was growing up, my dad’s mother came to live with us,” Lee told me. “She and my Auntie Linda would make spring rolls every Lunar New Year.” Eventually, Lee’s mother got in on the action.
