Let's not beat around the bush: The holidays are going to look a little different for a lot of us this year, with many families gathering around computer screens rather than long tables. But that's not cause to skip the celebrations altogether; it's reason to make them more festive than ever—and we want to help.
For those of you kicking off Easter morning or Passover seder with a Zoom call, let us present you this: eight custom, themed backgrounds to upload for the holidays. There are tame ones to please grandma and cheekier options if it's a cousins-only get-together. Download the pictures below (after a quick Zoom background tutorial).
We want to see your parties! So much so that we’re giving away copies of Delish: Eat Like Every Day's The Weekend to hosts that show us photos of their virtual parties using our backgrounds. You can enter to win a book for your entire party (up to 10 people) by taking a photo of your Zoom call that shows any of these Delish backgrounds, and posting the photo on Instagram with the hashtag #DelishZoomSweepstakes. We'll choose two lucky winners after Easter. See official rules here.
How to upload a Zoom background:
Download your favorite Easter or Passover background below, and save it to your computer. Log in to the Zoom web portal, and download the desktop app. (Sign up if you haven't already—it's free!) In the top right corner, click the settings icon—the button that looks like a gear. In the settings menu, click "Virtual Background." Click the "+" and upload your background of choice. Make sure "mirror my video" is unchecked in the bottom of the window, and you're good to go!
