For Your Calendar: National Harbor Food & Wine Festival

A celebrity chef-studded cast of characters comes to Washington’s National Harbor next month for the second annual Food & Wine Festival. This year’s event, slated for June 6-7, celebrates the use of local, fresh and responsibly sourced ingredients from both land and sea, according to the festival folks.

The official 2-day schedule hasn’t been released yet, but cooking demos and lots of samples with beer and wine pairings are in the works. Top Chef contestants Ariane Duarte of CulinAriane, Carla Hall of Alchemy Caterers, and Spike Mendelsohn, owner of Good Stuff Eatery, will all be in appearance, as will Bon Appetit‘s Barbara Fairchild, Barton Seaver, Bart Vandaele, and more. See a full list of those folks here.

Tickets will set you back $65. More information on packages, transportation, and all that jazz here.
