Domenica Marchetti at Domaso Demo on Saturday, March 21

One of the HG’s favorite Italian spots will play host to cookbook author Domenica Marchetti in a night that is one part cooking demo, one part wine tasting, and one part book signing.

Marchetti will sign copies of Big Night In while Domaso chef Massimo De Francesca and pastry chef Kevin Boxx whip up some of their favorite recipes from the book. Domasoteca wine guru Christianna Sargent will select wines for your pairing pleasure. Check out the menu:

  • Sea salt and rosemary sweet potato chips (paired with Riccardo Prosecco Valdobbiadene)
  • Winter endive and orange salad (Le Mandolare Soave Veneto)
  • Beef and chestnut stew with marsala (Marcarini Barbera d’Alba)
  • Lemon crostata (Pallini Limoncello)

Tickets are $55 and include a signed copy of Marchetti’s cookbook. Call (703) 894-5104 to register.

Domenica is the best! Her first cookbook on Italian soups and stews is one of my all-time favorites.
