Bacon Peanut Brittle

The best new product I came across at the June 6-7 Food & Wine Festival at National Harbor was the Sir Francis Bacon Peanut Brittle, at the Peanut Growers Board booth on the plaza. Who knew bacon goes so well in this combination of sweet, salty, and savory?

Check out the Sir Francis web site here, and see the HG’s full rundown of the festival here.

I'm so glad you were able to stop by our booth at the Food & Wine Festival and enjoy the bacon peanut brittle. Did you try the red zinfandel we paired with it?

Most people are always hesitant about the brittle at first and then they can't get enough. Thank you for the support through your blog, we appreciate it!

Lindsay - Sorry I didn't get to try the Red Zin with the peanut brittle. I'm sure that would have sent the flavor bar even higher! That sounds like a perfect aperitif combo. Cheers, Patrick
