Life's Choices: Bloomy, Bleu, or Pondhopper?
The wine offerings left a bit to be desired, but the cheese portion of TasteDC’s 4th Annual International Cheese and Wine Festival did not disappoint last Thursday.
A few of my new favorites — anyone tried any of them before?
-
Pierce Point (California)
-
Pleasant Ridge Extra-Aged (Wisconsin)
-
Pondhopper (Oregon)
-
Pt. Reyes Original Blue (California)
-
Comte Reserve des Granges AOC (Jean d’Alos, France)
-
Fourme d’Ambert (France)
- Redwood Hill Chevre (California)
All of the cheeses were provided by Cowgirl Creamery, one of DC’s best fromage destinations. Check out their site for more on the above (and a lot more; their database is fun to peruse).
