National Bohemian, or “Natty Boh,” is the well-loved Baltimore-area lager. It calls itself a “Bohemian-style” beer, which indicates its origin in Pilsner, Bohemia, Germany. It is light-bodied, low in alcohol, and tastes suspiciously like Pabst Blue Ribbon (Natty Boh is actually now made in Miller’s North Carolina facility and distributed by PBR.) Mr. Boh, the mustachioed mascot, whose likeness appears on the can, seems to be saying with his knowing wink, “Try it. You’ll like it. It’s cheap.”
