Coors has successfully pulled the wool over the eyes of many a would-be craft brew-drinking consumer by starting a line of beers, ostensibly made by the Blue Moon Brewing Company. In fact, this BMBC label is just a crafty pseudonym for a born and bred Coors product. They’ve worked very hard to hide its Coors lineage, with its poor track record on labor issues, and have duped quite a few beer buyers.
Excuse the soapbox lecture, but I just had to get that out. The Honey Moon Summer Ale is a fine beer, though not particularly complex. A wheat beer brewed with honey and spices, it is very sweet and goes down easily. It would go well with dessert — possibly a good sundae or slice of pie — and would be delicious paired with pretzels and honey mustard.
