The Champagne of beers? Well … an arguable assertion, though it is bubbly, pale, and probably would taste better served in a flute. High Life is a drinkable beer, but that is about as far as this beer reviewer will go. A slightly sweet maltiness is the only real discernible flavor, making it a fine pick for a “Woo College!”-style night of rowdiness but not necessarily what I would choose to drink on any other day.

A Vermonter at heart, his favorite breweries are Rock Art and Long Trail. He is currently brewing a 9.5% ABV 95 IBU Spring IPA which he hopes will be potable (please see future columns to understand the acronyms, and whether it is in fact potable).
