Brooklyn Brewery Local 1

The Nitty Gritty:

  • Brewery: Brooklyn Brewery
  • Type: Ale
  • Style: Belgian-style Strong Golden Ale
  • Country: United States
  • Price: About $8
  • Rating: 84/100
  • Tags: brooklyn Belgian-style strong

This Belgian-style Strong Golden Ale is everything that I’d want it to be. It was a beautiful straw-gold color with a slight cloudiness, due to the fact that it was conditioned in the bottle. It was certainly Belgian-style — fruity esters rose up from a rich yeastiness. And yes, it was strong — a sly 9% ABV was enough to make me stay local for the night.
