Bell’s Hopslam

The Nitty Gritty:

  • Brewery: Bell's
  • Type: Ale
  • Style: Imperial Ale
  • Country: United States
  • Price: About $2
  • Rating: 94/100
  • Tags: hops IPA strong Bell's Michigan

Best beer of the year, perhaps. Just plain awesome. Hopslam shares a similar profile to another Bell’s star, the Two-Hearted Ale. It’s just bigger and better. An amazing balanced beer at 10% ABV, this beer will impress. Worst thing about it is that it’s next to impossible to find.

I found Hopslam to be perfectly balanced between hop bitterness and sweetness. It IS hard to find and at over $15.00 a 6-pack (in my area at least) it's hard to afford.....but if you can scrape together the coin it's well worth it IMO.
