About The Humble Gourmand
The Humble Gourmand is an Alexandria, VA-based provider of natural and delicious foods. We serve as a conduit between Chesapeake Bay watershed farmers and butchers, artisan/small-batch producers up and down the East Coast, and hungry clients in the Washington area.
Some of the things we make, supply, and do:
- Prepared foods
- Grass-fed beef, bison, and other meats
- Free-range & pastured poultry & eggs
- Certified organic produce
- Baked goods and gourmet desserts
- Catering (events and parties of all sizes)
- Weekly and monthly meal plans
To those ends, the HG works with Potomac Crossfit in Arlington, VA, and at several area farmers' markets with Farm Fresh Chef out of Potomac, MD.
The Magazine
The Humble Gourmand is also an online magazine, published the first Friday of each month. It offers straightforward features, recipes, wine & beer columns, and restaurant reviews, as well as a healthy dose of food photography. The HG's blog, Victuals & Vittles, is updated regularly between issues.
The HG's website was conceptualized, designed, and developed by M. Jackson Wilkinson, User Experience Strategist at Viget Labs
